Tiffin entrance practice at home: what to practise

What to practise for Tiffin entrance, and how to use extension practice once the basics feel secure.

What to know about Tiffin entrance

Tiffin School and The Tiffin Girls’ School each run their own entrance process, with English and maths practice at the heart of preparing. Tests, stages and dates are decided by the school and change, so read each school's admissions page for the current process before you plan.

How to prepare

  • Build the basics first: number, fractions, ratio and algebra for maths; vocabulary, grammar and comprehension for English.
  • Practise one topic at a time before mixing topics.
  • Keep a list of wrong answers and retry them later.
  • Once the first stage feels comfortable, move to harder extension questions and timed practice.
